You might remember last month I started a column called Stocking Up At, which aims to profile independent online shops, and today I wanted to share one of my favourite Australian shops with you: Hello Polly. I first found out about Hello Polly not by coming across them online, but rather at one of their stalls at the Finders Keepers markets! As it turns out, Hello Polly is a Melbourne-based online shop, launched in 2011 by Sarah Kelk after she found herself moving to Australia from Edinburgh, which she had successfully run the Red Door Gallery for seven years.
Sarah is passionate about running her online business and promoting the work of talented independent artists, which no doubt is a result of her artistic background, and Hello Polly stocks a range of artwork, accessories, stationery, homeware, toys and gifts from Australia and the rest of the world. Sarah clearly has a great eye, and I pretty much love everything she has chosen to stock, especially her range of artwork and homewares (from many labels that I have featured on this blog). Here are a few of my favourites, and if you'd like to see more, pop by the Hello Polly website and blog.
