Hello all, did you have a lovely weekend? Mine involved lots of sun, loud music and whinging about the heat. My Saturday was spent at the ATP I'll Be Your Mirror festival (where it was so hot I thought I might actually melt – I think my Britishness overrules my Queensland upbringing when it comes to hot weather!), and Sunday was spent lazily wandering around Fitzroy and then retiring in front of the fan. Exhausting! I wanted to kick of this week's posts with these minimal, modern art prints from Melbourne-based artist Simone Downey of Ammiki.

These prints are quite calming and serene, don't you think? I love the organic shapes and pared back colours. Simone is also the creative lady behind the children's illustration and print label Nomuu, and runs a curated art website (also called Ammiki) that gathers together inspiring images and sites from handmade, collaborative independent artists/designers and small businesses from around the world. To see more of these lovely prints, check out Simone's Ammiki Etsy shop.

What stunning prints. I love the colour palettes and simple shapes. Very soothing. Lovely to have discovered your blog. You have great style and a beautiful design aesthetic. Now following on Twitter & bloglovin x Michelle
